Meredith Salenger
Salenger was born and raised within Malibu, California. Salenger enjoyed performing before her family and close friends in her early years. The mother of her child took her to her first acting class when she was eight years old. In the John Huston-directed feature Annie the actress played an unimportant role, in which she was called an "singing and dancing orphan". Salenger was also featured in several commercials for television. Salenger played her first lead role for the lead role in The Journey of Natty Gann, the Disney film starring John Cusack with Ray Wise. It was the first US film to win the Gold Award at the Moscow Film Festival. In addition, the film won her "Best Actress in a Drama" at the Youth in Film Awards for her portrayal as the charming Natty Gann. In the following four films when she was 18 years old which included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon She left Hollywood and went to Harvard for further studies.
